Xenia is an original character from my webcomic, "Threads from the Blue Rock Tapestry". [15483]

This is the process I use for making a vector illustration. Start in Photoshop for the sketch and early colors. Render it a bit with the pixels to make color sampling easier in Illustrator. Then render the final in Illustrator, using blends, gradients, and multiple fills with the Appearance palette for each vector object.
